Global Competition in the Beverage Industry
From September 15 to 19, 2025, DrinkTec in Munich once again demonstrated its position as the world's leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry. Patrick Stiller attended the event and met with a client for discussions.
Alongside established manufacturers from Europe and the United States, suppliers from China and India are increasingly entering the market. While their machinery and equipment have reached an increasingly competitive level of quality, many still lack the critical process know-how required to design and integrate complex production systems. Strategic acquisitions of Western companies could enable these suppliers to close this gap and achieve true competitive parity with established industry leaders.
